Thanks for deciding to become part of the Graphola
community!
Membership of Graphola is completely free of charge.
Joining is easy - all you need to do is:
Read the terms and conditions shown below
Complete the membership form that appears once you accept
the terms and conditions on this page
Upload at least two works: these will be used to evaluate
whether your work is suitable for publishing on Graphola.
Graphola's editorial team checks the applications and the
works offered for upload to ensure that nothing but high-quality
art is featured on the site.
Following the team's evaluation, your candidature will be
accepted or rejected. You will be notified of the outcome
of the evaluation by e-mail.
If you are one of the lucky artists to be accepted, you will
need to supply a photo and some information, which will be
featured on your dedicated profile page.
Together with your profile, all the works you send us (and
which we accept) will be uploaded to the site. Graphola reserves
the right to reject any individual work you offer for publication.
When uploading your work, please stick to the following guidelines:
The work to be uploaded to Graphola should be in .jpg
format and of a size that makes it suitable for viewing
on a standard monitor with resolution set at 1024x768.
The uploading of works should always be done via the
dedicated form accessed through your Graphola control panel.
Subsequently, if your work receives approval, you should
send us a CD with high-resolution versions of the images
(we accept files created in Photoshop, Illustrator, PDF,
EPS, etc.).
This stage is crucial because, in certain cases, the prints
will be in large format (e.g.: 70 x 100cm, 60 x 150cm, etc.).
We, therefore, require the files you send to be at a minimum
of 150dpi, and they should correspond to the print sizes you
indicate on the upload form.
Works will be printed on cotton canvas using a flat-bed plotter.
The cost of printing, packaging and
shipping the work(s) to the client will be covered by Graphola.
The artist will NOT be charged for these services.
Costs you nothing
Graphola's survival and development are supported solely through
royalties received on the sale of artists' works.
In most cases, the works will be sold at a price that
varies between €150 and €200, including sales
tax and printing (the prices - set by Graphola - vary primarily
on the basis of the size of the print and the artist's level
of renown).
Print run is 50. In some exceptional case we can deal
for a different print run.
The artist is responsible for the number of printable
copies.
Graphola, for its part, is committed to informing the
artist each time the work is printed.
The royalties will be split between Graphola and the artist
as follows:
€50, including sales tax, goes to the artist for each
work sold, the remainder is made up of Graphola's profit
and expenses. We hope that the artist will use some of the
royalties received to purchase other works showcased on
the site - artists receive a 20% discount.
The works that the artist uploads to Graphola remain
the property of the artist, on condition that Graphola is
given exclusive rights to print the works in large format
and to use them as works of art.
Should the artist decide to withdraw one of his/her own
works from Graphola, Graphola will have the right to keep
all the rights on three copies of the work.
As a sign of trust, and an incentive to encourage us to
continue our work, we offer you the possibility of 'donating'
the first copy of each of your works to Graphola. This will
allow us to finance the printing and mounting of the works,
operations that are essential for the exhibitions that we
would like to continue organizing. It is not obligatory
to make the above donation...but it certainly would help
us to carry on doing what we are doing.
How artists are paid:
If you are based in Italy, we can pay you by bank transfer.
If you are not based in Italy, we can pay you as follows:
